Robert Irvine and Transitions Lenses

Chef Robert IrvineHappy Monday Everybody! As many of you know I have been a proud wearer of Transitions Lenses for over 8 years. I truly could not imagine waking up in the morning and not having my Transitions by my bedside.  I like to think we all pay attention to our health and bodies but one thing I believe many people take advantage of on a daily basis is our eye health.

When I put on my Transition Lenses I know that I am going to see life the way it should be seen. Wearing Transitions lenses is about celebrating all the sights in life and seeing the sights in a more vibrant and enhanced way. Also, as the Official Sponsor of Sightseeing, Transitions is able to remind everyone of the importance of establishing healthy eyecare and eyewear habits, including regular eye exams, for vision that lasts a lifetime.

Saturday March 17th I had the pleasure of joining the Transitions team at the Transitions Championship PGA event at Innisbrook Golf Resort in Palm Harbor Florida. What a fantastic day with a great team! Check out these recipes that I created for this event that will help you maintain excellent eye health!

My comment is directed to the church organization that feeds over 150 needy people every day. Thanks to the kind and selfless lady, currently with a broken arm, and her associates, many deserving people in this city of Newark, NJ, would go hungry instead of getting a healthy and nutritious meal every day of the week.
And Robert, with your donation of much needed kitchen appliances this task of feeding the hungry will be able to carry on indefinitely.

    Chef Irvine,
I watched “Restaurant Impossible” last night and I would like to thank you for your participation on the behalf of the First Lady to expand the gathering place for “Horton’s Kids” and the planning of a garden so that these kids can get into the habit of eating fresh and nutritious food straight from the ground.
I enjoy your show and am in awe of the way your turn around failing restaurants in 2 days and with only $10,000.

  3. Bill says:

My Transitional lens are hard to keep clean and they scratch extremely easy and they are expensive.

I love your show Restaurant Impossible and I love your cooking techniques. I appreciate you also giving back to the communities.
I am a hear-attack and stroket victim, HBP, Acid Reflux Dis, what are the best foods that I should concentrate on?
    Thanks,

    Chef Irvine-
I do believe the reason the judges are so hard on you is not your lack of expertise, but simply jealousy!
Ann Burell should have never been picked over you to go to the finals.
I am a big fan of “Restaurant Impossible.”

This may be off topic but I would love for you to come help our restaurant in Ohio! :)

  8. Bobbie says:

I have regular eye exams every 3 mos. I’m diabetic and have Glucoma. They have me using eye drops to help this problem. I also had caterac surgery. They are checking for any signs of bleeding behind my eyes. Because being a diabetic I could go blind. It’s a good thing your’re doing Robert making people more aware. Also cooking for MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION. You are a nice guy that’s one reason I watch your shows. I’m also amazed how quickly you get dinners together. Also how quickly you and the people that helps make it happen does resturant makeovers. AMAZING JOB ROBERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE&BLESSINGS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. John C Pini says:

Chef are there any Long Island locations planned for Restaurant Impossible? I’d love to go to one of the re-grand openings.

  10. Kelli Bosarge says:

I’m legally blind without lenses and have systemic disease that has progressed to the point of extreme light sensitivity, so I think Transitions may be my next pair. My only concern is how quickly they change from outdoor to indoor mode. While most people want an “instant” transition, I need them to turn gradually (not necessarily slowly, but not “Bam! Light bulb in yo face!” fast, either). Still getting input from others but I’m leaning towards trying them.

Happy Monday to you and yours.

  11. Donna Burke says:

I would love to have them. But, they are so expensive. There are alot of people who lives on a limited income. And we can only get what we can. I know if I break my glasses it would cost over 80 dollars to buy new ones. Which I can’t afford. I think that is why alot of people who are on a limited income don’t check their eyes more often. And if they do need new glasses we can’t get them.

  14. Karen Romero says:

When will you appear in Southern Cal?

  15. Jeff Brune says:

I have been a transition wearer for years and enjoy them tremendously except for the one thing where I,and I know many others, need them most and that’s in the car…As a passenger or particularly when you’re driving this is definitely where they would be extremely beneficial.

  16. Kelly Barron says:

I don’t wear transitions for eye glasses, but I do wear eye glasses my eye sight as well as my childrens are very important to me. I’ve had eye problems since I was very young and my son who is only six years old started wearing glasses at the age of 2. I on the other hand the age of 4. He and I both have a lazy eye the eye doctors call it something else but I am going to call it what I know it by because it doesn’t do what you want it to it has a mind of its own it doesn’t want to go where you want it to. Have a great day Robert!!

  17. Charles Jones says:

    Chef Irvine,
I really enjoy your “Restaurant Impossible” program.
I think it is one of the best reality shows on TV. I look forward to it every week.
It is amazing that you can handle such stress and communicate so well with all of those restauranteurs who find themselves in dire straits financially.
I also want to give credit to Tom and your other designers.

  18. Krista says:

I think you need to come to Northern Virginia with Transitions and do an eye health awareness with the most prominent eye care specialist in the area, Dr. Ayman Boutros. He’s also my boss. ;-)
